It makes sence to people on this sight. Everyone knows what you mean. It is hard to explain stuff to someone that has not felt these feelings. That is why this sight is so good.

I had db vision, blurred, and these last few yrs my eyes started turning red like pink eye, i went to eye specialist and was told had to get off carbamazepin or i could lose my vision was on that med for 27yrs. When i was taken off my vision totally changed and haven't had any problems since then.
Meds could screw up eyes.

Melissa, There are times now & then that I get the double vision & I'm on Trileptal as well. I take 2 300mg in the morning & 2 300mg at night. At times when I begin experiencing the double vision it's at work & my Mom thinks it's cause I'm so tired. But about 3 years or so ago I was getting ready to leave for work & out of no where began getting dizzy, blurred vision & began crying for no reason. I called my doctor & he thought it might have something to do with the Trileptal & reduced me by 1 pill in my morning dosage. Then several weeks to a month ago my current neurologist wanted to increase the Trileptal back up by that one pill in the morning, taking me back to the 2 in the morning & 2 at night being that I had a seizure in September & about in November & then at some point bit my tongue & cheeks while sleeping but we don't know for sure if me biting myself was due to a seizure or cause of my TMJ & grinding my teeth while I slept. What was frustrating was that one time a few months ago I was fine at work & then I no sooner got in my car to head home & began getting the double vision & had to drive home with one eye open & one eye closed. When I start getting it at work that's what I basically have to do also is work with one eye open & one eye closed until it stops. I can only suggest that it could possibly have to do with your Trileptal since I have the same problem also but it doesn't happen real often but you might also need more rest just like my Mom believes I might to tired when it happens to me. It doesn't happen to often when I'm at home. Well, I wish you the best of luck! I'll be sure to keep you in my prayers & I hope your double vision goes away! Take care & good luck!
