So (fingers Crossed) I’m Going To Have An Op This Year. For Those Who Have Had An Op, What Was Holiday Insurance Like?

I’m thinking about holidays in the future and didn’t know what holiday insurance would be like for a certain amount of time after my op. Any info would be helpful! Thank you I’m advance!

I’m having the Amygdalohippocampectomy and anterior temporal lobectomy surgery (all in one hit which I guess it’s why it’ll take 8ish hours)
The surgeon said the standard recovery is 6 weeks but he recommends 3 months - so I’ve just told Work 3 months recovery 🙊 - so I’m assuming I can’t go on holiday after the first 6 weeks 😜

It depends on what surgery your going to be having. If your having a brain 🧠 surgery, it may take 6-8 weeks to do any of the daily routines. But to fully heal at least a yr.

The VNS is a in and out procedure. Maybe 1 day at the most for an operation.

The RN I have no idea.

Dont think going away that soon after surgery would be a great idea lol.
I havent had the surgery that was offered to me but my mother had a brain tumour removed and now has to tick the brain surgery box on all holiday insurance forms, which you see.the face of the woman doing the booking when she gets to that lol. Its a picture haha xx

i think the recovery time is a month and therapy is months to years. i still have therapy every couple of years but the mayor therapy is a month to 3 months. then miner therapy once every week or once every 2 weeks. then every couple of years.
