Briviact

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My neurologist added Briviact to my other meds and so far the side effects have been few. Thank GOD! I am noticing that I’m short fused / irritable more than usual though. It’s hard for me to decipher right now because I get this way before I start my period (tmi sorry). I couldn’t take Keppra because it made me moody and temperamental as hell. Input? Thank you! 😘

I take Keppra and find it works good for me it's one of my main meds. I also take Tegretol XR and phenobarbital. And also added Donepezil 10 mg to help my memory ( it's a generic for Aricept). It's a great combo for me.

I was on Briviact and it ripped a hole in my diaphragm alongside an irritable mood so it is fairly normal (as far as AEDs go!)

Keppra never really made me irritable. You would think it would have though

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member my moods are much better now after I started my period. I’m a monster right before. Only thing is I’ve had diarrhea every day since starting... gross I know. Hoping I’ll adjust soon.
