Briviact Side Effects

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey all. I’ve been on Briviact for a few weeks now. Has anyone else experienced diarrhea for 2 weeks straight, vomiting the third week, and any trouble having an orgasm? I’m still a little dizzy, but that comes with pretty much all AED’s. I’ve never had the orgasm issue except when I took Effexor. I’m not on that anymore, have a high libido and just wondering what anyone’s take on it is. I’ve also lost my appetite. Eh.

Yeah that sounds like a lot of side effects. Are those listed for that drug as a possible side effect? There are some nasty bugs going around just a thought. Briviact has been mentioned for the next drug for me to try. Hope you figure it out.

I know docs like to wait a bit to see if side effects fade, but if you are vomiting and don't have an appetite that's something to watch out for. I didn't have an appetite on topamax. I waiting almost 3 month, lost 30 lbs. and doc pulled me off. Topamax is also a weight loss drug. Drugs effect everyone differently.
