Can I Ask My Doctor For A Note For A Private Room? For My Medication To Work I Require Proper Sleep.

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Mayfield, KY

I have noticed that my roommates don’t require as much sleep as I do to function “normally” and I am developing problems and not doing my best in classes and getting seizure headaches more frequently (the headaches before a seizure but able to subside it) and I wanna know if I can talk to my doctor to get a note stating I need a private room because of my specific needs. Is that alright?

I think you're both correct...you can pay to be moved....or with a doctor's note you are moved with no charge due to a disability. At least one college I know of use to be like that.
