Do You Think Epilepsy Has Affected Your Sleep By Dreaming More ?

I have always dreamed a lot but since epilepsy I have the impression that it got worse and it's keeping me from having a restful sleep... has anyone had problems with dreams ?

Yeah I've noticed sometimes my dreams are super vivid and often wake up feeling very overwhelmed by them

There was one time, when I was on the AED Potiga . It was new at the time ( 15 yrs ago ) . Anyway , while on it , I was seeing 4to5 dreams a night . I have never seen that many dreams in a night . When I got off the meds , I went back to seeing 0-2 dreams a night. Iā€™m still the same today, with my dreams.

I don't think it is the Epilepsy that has affected my dreams for the most part. I think it is more about all of the medications that I am on. And I ever forget to take my bedtime pills, I not only have no problem recalling the powerful dream (some of them are horrors) but have a memory of it for days in. I think it is the Clonazepam that does this. Otherwise, like the average person, I have a memory of my latest dream immediately after awakening, but it fades fast into long-term memory unless I quickly write down the details.

there is a lot of ways for sleeping disorder. you have a seizure in your sleep that when you wake up... you are out of energy. some meds make you insomnia or when you dream, it's weird or a nightmare and then you wake up... sometime multiple times a night. melatonen helps make you sleep and sometimes stay asleep. another one is sleepy tea. last is yoga and/or meditation.
