Your Seizure Triggers?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
Newcastle upon Tyne, UK

These are the kinds of things that cause my seizures, how common are they with everyone else? I'd like to know what triggers your seizures:

- Time spent on electronic devices
- Medication not taken on time
- Not enough sleep or rest
- Going to bed late
- Not drinking plenty water
- Not eating healthy
- Getting to hot
- Reading to much
- Showering late at night
- Dust on clothes or in the house
- Infections like cold or flu
- Certain foods
- Bright or flickering lights
- Stress

NicoleLesser:
During hay fever season always drink lots of water tokeep your nasal passages moist~~ And sleep sitting UP if you can
The more your head is raised the more your nasal passages DRAIN so
that your ears don't stuff up.
ALSO wear ear plugs when washing your hair~ THIS WORKS !!!!

they think drinking is my trigger. ive drank since i was 18, but the year before i turned 21 i went a little crazy. the doctors assumed i was having seizures in my sleep all last summer (just small ones so i never noticed) and after my first grand mal seizure, they figured it was from drinking. i stopped for a while, but then started again. soon after i had another grand mal seizure. i havent drank since, and no seizures since!

A real number of things can possibly bring on a SEIZURE.
Depends upon what & when~ YES stress is a major factor in Seizures
AND each person is very different to what contributes to having a SEIZURE
NO two people are alike.
