What Should You Do When It’s Not Possible To Take Medication ‘on Time’?

I know you’re meant to take meds at the same time every day.
I take my morning medication at ~10.30am, but I work casual in retail - sometimes I’ll have morning shifts and be in the store in front of customers then.
I usually take my meds before the shift (today, that was ~8am). Is it better taking them then, 2.5hrs early, or afterwards, ~1hr late.

PS. There’s not always a chance for me to duck out to my locker and take them on time, and there’s no chance I’ll take them in front of customers.

That’s good rusti I have an alarm on my phone and then an second alarm to remind me but sometimes we forget and remember much later and if it’s not to close to your next dose it’s ok to take them I’ve been told since I only take them twice daily or if it’s too close to your next dose don’t take them just take your next round of pills at the right time never double dose or you’ll feel spaced out that’s a personal experience x x

There is no excuse not to take your meds on time. We have enough on our plate to be concerned with when we do have a seizure. Depending on your meds and what time the dosage is scheduled. There are several ways to do it. You can write the time down on a post-it, or if you are away from your desk you can use one of the many apps available to download on your phone to remind you. Everyone keeps their phone nearby. Just keep a pill box with you during the day.

I take my tablets at 10.30 and 22.30 one of my tablets is [[treatment:tegretol:550881451fcaa30562000d6f]] slow release which I have to take every 12 hours but sometimes I forget to take them on time it could be 1 hour later or if I have to out early and I know I won’t be back still much later I take them a hour early can I make a suggestion if your only taking medications twice daily on the days that you work take your pills before your shift or if it’s morning afternoon and nighttime you have to take meds always take meds before shift or on break x x

Thanks guys, I like the idea of the key chain. Don't fancy taking it on the train in case I can't get a seat😌
