SAD Lights

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

My wife has purchased a SAD light which is meant to give off more vitamin L like sunlight. Has anyone had any problems with these lights and their epilepsy? or increased seizures?

Did you try sunglasses? Anyway, if it’s not your thing, that’s totally okay.

For everyone? I mean, they don't flash. I know some people can get seizures from bright florescent lights, but I don't think that's true for a lot of us.

Hi all, @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I find the light too bright and have to move into another room. My wife thinks it helps with her depression and our cat loves the heat!

I have heard of these lights. If you suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder then, depending on what degree it affects you, they are meant to help. However, they aren’t for epilepsy.
