Toni: Sorry you have to go through this. Yes, Anger, frustration, ANY extreme emotion will very often lead to seizures. That's kind of how it works: It's the extreme emotion that leads to them. You might produce that, with an argument or even something positive but extreme, or your brain might produce it by itself.

Yes. If I get overly stressed or even overly excited, I tend to seizure.

Stress is a trigger for my seizures. Emotional stress is usually related to a situation or event that has personal meaning to you, a situation in which you feel a loss of control. Stress makes or releases certain hormones related to the nervous system that can impact the brain. My cortisol level (stress hormone) is consistently above normal.

I have to say that I don't believe that it's stress or anything emotional , ive had seizures since I was 14 and test after test and surgery after surgery after surgery and not one specialist has been able to detect what is the problem ,or even what type of seizures I have I'm on 4 different meds and no matter what time I go to bed I'm wide awake at 345am everyday no alarms I just wake up , ive been doing my own research and found that , in a good chunk of seizure cases it's when woman are menstrual, or men are at a hormonal peak (need to get laid lol) , I have also read that certain songs or music or the sound of barking dogs is a trigger because of the pitch hitting the eardrum , there are also studies where if there is a sporadic heart beat which could be other things can also be the reason of a seizure , or smells of things flowers foods candy can all be triggers , but they all just give meds and hope and pray that pills will help stop everything, me personally anytime I would go to get my hair dyed the aroma would be a slight trigger so I stopped to see if I was right and I am fine , took out alot of sour/bitter foods and im fine and now I'm going to talk to a dr about female issues to cancel that out sound and stress I've already eliminated and lights don't bug me or even show on the charts so I want to stress may be the issue but there are so many other seizures that should be researched and discussed with ypur doctors. Hope this was helpful 🙏
