Has Anyone Experienced Or Seen A Dramatic Change In Seizures?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭
El Paso, TX

My wife used to shake erratically between episodes of extreme tensing up of her whole body. However, within the last two weeks all throughout her “seizures” she looks unconscious, mumbling incoherently, and sitting up and looking awake. I try to talk to her and she’s still seizing. She goes from laying down one minute to sitting up, back-and-forth. I have to admit I’ve become very desensitized to her seizures until she started these new ones. Can anyone offer some insight or advice?

I think you should call your wife’s doctor to inform them of the changes.

Not really. But having said that I really only get Tonic clonic seizure every 10 years on average so for me to have a TC seizure is basically a dramatic change in how things are going but having said that over the years some have been very preventable whereas others are a bit more complex.
