Hello, I have been told having some fruit between meals is not a bad idea. Banana’s have 100% of all the potassium a person needs for one day. Watermelon is 98% water but it is better then candy. Eat candy only after dinner-popcorn is not a bad desert to have.

You may not be eating because you are depressed or you could experiencing side effects from one of the medications. It has happened to me with a couple of my past meds

Lucy1 you can ask your doctor to change your medications to a weight neutral one ,and try adding more fibre to your diet as fibre keeps you fuller for longer hence you eat less and lose weight .that's if your stomach and digestive system can handle a high fibre diet.
Meal replacement shakes are a good alternative if your not feeling to hungry as they contain vitamins and minerals also so your not lacking any nutrients from not eating properly.
but be mindful of the ones that contain stimulants nature life meal replacements shakes a pretty good no stimulants or caffeine in them.
