I know that with one of the 4 epilepsy you have in the brain it shows memory loss, but do you think Medication for Epilepsy would have effect on your Memory other then with the one of the epilepsy which you have?

Yes especially at higher dosages 1000mg and above, and with multiple medications needed. Or medications being taken for other issues interacting. My diet anti depressants and acid reflux medications all created the need for higher dosages of anti seizure meds. Doctors no longer research medication interaction or diet effects for you. Ask the pharmacist and use sites like this and Google to do it yourself.
Keto diet helped me lower my dosage which which also alleviated the depression which was a side effect of long term high dosage anti seizure meds (34 years) and allowed me to get off the antidepressant

I’m not sure about the medication itself but the seizures definitely cause memory problems, I have about a 2 second short term memory now yet I can remember thing’s from my childhood. I was diagnosed at 17 and I’m now 47 however I have had most aeds and a temporal lobe resection so I’m sure that didn’t help either. I have trouble with words too, I know exactly what I want to say but just can’t think of the word, it’s even more frustrating when it’s an object and I know what it is but can’t think of what it is called. I’m sure every seizure I have takes a little more of my brain.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member ,

I to also blame seizures. Both medications and seizures share a piece with memory issues
