How Does The Changing Of The Season Affect Your Body And Motivation?
My first neurologist had me go to bed at nine, to get the full eight hours. No TV, No lights, it took me four days to fall asleep at the appropriate time. I get my eight hours.
It's boring to have nothing to do, and overwhelming when I have too much to do. Finding the balance has been illusive.
The summer is the season that mess with me when it's too hot and I'm outside all day I will end up going into a seizure from the heat because I start have a fever and then go into maybe 10 seizure back to back but long as I keep myself hydrated and go sit under some cool air, i will have no problem.
Not trying to be funny, but it took me only 20 years to learn that heat, which without enough fluids in my body, could prompt a seizure. Not being able to drive and needing something to brighten one's spirits and get exercise, I get outside and be active doing light jogs and/or walking. Per the above, I did not know of heat and dehydration and its relation to seizures. I've hit the sidewalk more times than I want to remember. I recovered through all with no real retention of damage to the face, but my knees now show some retained scars....WITH the exception of being on our 30th wedding anniversary vacation. Light jog over a bridge on a bright sunny day around 11:00 a.m. in the Keys. Beautiful greenish/yellow color in the water. With the ocean breezes, I thought my body wouldn't feel the heat, as one would feel inland. Wrong! Walking into the vacation cottage after the run, I lost consciousness and my face hit the stairs. Again, I recovered with no real retention of damage. But I was embarrassed to be in public thereafter. That's okay. I'm still alive, have no facial damage retention and thankful I have a 2nd honeymoon I won't forget. I wish all a seizure-free weekend.
Babs,
I just go with the new time, but sleep has always been a issue for me. I try to get to bed early, and might have to go back to bed after taking my meds.
