Medical Marijuana
Hello Everyone,
I would like to know if any of you use marijuana instead of medication. Do you feel stoned and unable to do your daily things? I was diagnosed with epilepsy November 2022. I have tried 5 different medications and now the Dr wants me to try another. I can not stand the way they make me feel!
Thank You,
Deana
I ended up having brain surgery and it worked for me, seizure free since 2011.
Deana, sorry to hear about your difficulty handling Keppra side effects. I've read similar horror stories about Keppra. As bad as it is for me, I guess I can tolerate it as long as I remain seizure free and hence, able to drive. I've taken a lot of prescription drugs for a variety of maladies over my lifetime, but I've never had anything affect me emotionally like this Keppra "rage". Frankly, that scares me. Fortunately I can tell when it's happening and I can redouble my efforts to chill out. I think the marijuana helps with that,
I've been diagnosed with central sleep apnea. My doctor thinks that if we can get my nighttime breathing worked out I will feel a lot better in spite of the Keppra induced fatigue. I hope she's right! Good luck on your treatment journey.
it is tricky... not because weed is safe (it is), it's the states and there laws. all you need to know is there is 2 main types of marijuana... cbd and thc. thc is more potent but getting effects. cbd is less potent but no side effects.
my state is the 'no thc of any kind' so only cbd. yours maybe different.
so my advice is research. research your state and there weed laws. when that is done, research all the other weed things (like smoking it, the bong, the oil, lotion, ect). the final thing is the brands. my state, there is a lotta cbd out there and knock off cbd. what i look for is... taste tested and 3rd party approved, usa grown, and tailered to you.
happy researching.
Yes, you have to get it from a medical Marijuana place that way they know what you need to not make you paranoid or in the couch not being able to get chores done.
