My most common seizure is the Complex Partial Seizure. Meaning I’m unaware when I seizure. I also have Absence Seizures and blackouts type seizures..

The EEG reads, what ever type of seizures I have . During my inpatient EEGs , they reduce the my meds little at a time to get seizure results. I may still have seizures, during the EEG , but my body is fighting at the same time. So the Doctors are getting the results they wanted . So they came and asked me, what food or beverage triggers my seizures. I chose what I wanted and not long later , I went into a convulsion and they finally got what they were wanting.

It very possible to have a seizure and not notice it. Know when I was during an EEG , I wasn’t showing any seizure movement, my brain wave were acting up

Hi Ann2, I may have deleted ur answer by accident as it has disappeared! You are right. He needs to balance things with seizures and meds. Hopefully, the neuro will listen when we meet. May go for 2nd opinion also. Wasnt happy with his response to me when I said ny son is fine and we really have not noticed any odd day time behaviours - he said I hear that all the time.

he just had an ordinary eeg st 8am not sleep deprived.neuro rang me and said every page on printout had acivity and said he wanted to add zebinix to his meds as keppra obviously not working. just on keppra at the mo. apparently you dont need blood tests with keppra. my son is 17. had first sleep tonic clonic in 2018..then 2nd a year and half later. then had 3rd and 4th within 3months of 2nd.was put on keppra 750mg twice a day. did not have another sleep tonic clonic for 2 and half years. got new neuro cos in no longer in child service. we have never seen any behaviour that indicated seizures outside of the 5 tonic clonic. he takes meds on time, sleeps well, exercises and does well in school so not sure what to think. has mri in 2 weeks and will request consult with neuro then to discuss mri and meds. but intil then he wants to leave meds as is
