I’m Going To Do The Second Half Of My Neuropsychology Testing. I’m Studying Before Doing It. How Many Others Did This And Also Studied?
Don't worry about "passing" a Neuropsychological Test. The test is actually meant to measure where your brain "fails" & "passes" in different areas. It's not really an IQ test either. It's meant to see how well your brain can operate on it's own, and also how well your awareness corresponds with your actions for problem solving scenarios during rest, and stress. This test is meant for a basis of treatment options available when your mind is in it's purest form... Unstressed, and not fatigued yet. The best preparation for the test is a good night's sleep, and a light breakfast maybe with some vitamins an hour or so before you begin. PS - Don't forget to bring some clean water with you!
They told me i probably have a developemental disability in math, and idk what it was called but matching faces to the emotion didnt go great either lol but thats the test not real people. I had to listen to a list of words, draw something repeat the list make a pattern in blocks, listen to a story, a list repeat the list then repeat the story etc. i just had one earlier this year, i did better on this one than the one i took in 2019.
One more thing - we all have our strengths and weaknesses. When the nurse read me a story and asked me to repeat it, I was awful. But when they asked me math questions, well, the nurse told me she didn't want me to give her the answer before she finished the question. 😁😉
Since it's just to establish our IQ score, I just took it. They just wanna use that score to compare with a later test. FYI, my first score was 126. After surgery, it was 122 which my epileptologist didn't like but didn't make a big case out of it. Three years later I took another test and it was 135. Just see how you do. 🙂
I did after all three of my brain surgeries!
