I Keep Having Seizures. But All My Neurologist Does Is Raise My Dosage Of Medication 💊, Is That Regular?
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member
My Nero increased my meds over time. I have fewer seizures no instead of 3 to 4 seizures a month I now can go 2 to 3 months without a seizure. I see my Nero next month and am going to ask him what is he trying to do, several months without a seizure of totally seizure free.
Unfortunately, it's a trial & error thing. Everyone is different. There is no textbook way to treat every case.
Don’t be! Through Him all will be great! There is a reason this happened to US we are his Warriors. We are stronger and can survive! Don’t be scared to ask your Nero questions, big or small that is there job. Make them work. We have questions I was so scared to ask but I realized if I don’t ask I will never know. I’m going to sit in my room forever and become a homebody.
If you don’t like your Nero tell him/her that I would like to try someone else.
They can NOT be offended by that. This is your life.
That is what my Nero did at first, I’ve been on the same regimen for the last couple of years now! I believe it’s all about your mental state. Finding the right nero that believes in your ability to stay on track. I’m this process it’s all up to you. Having a great support system around you helps. But they can only offer so much. It’s our epilepsy…and our brain we have to deal with it for the rest of our lives.
I went through this for two plus years. I went through all the medical procedures including the most recent with sensors on my brain to capture the seizure and location. Once this was done, plans were created for next steps.
The meds were also tested if you would like to discuss. The organization is one of the top in the US.
