Does Anyone Track There Sleep With A Fitbit Or Smart Watch?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey everyone,

So over the last few months, I've been tracking my sleep with a Fit bit. Generally, the amount of sleep I get is good it's about 6 and half hrs on average. One issue I have noticed with the majority of my sleep patterns is that there is a lot of wake-up lines that only last for 1-3 mins or sometimes they can be as less as 15 seconds to 55 seconds. Could this just be a glitch with my Fit bit? Or is this an obvious sign of nocturnal seizures? I have only just been tested for… read more

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member i dont know if i would ever get used to anything like a fitbit on me.... my wife had tried to convince me of trying one, but i notice that as i am older i sometimes dont want to know, but go on faith.

i trust technology to a point... but i dont know if i can get used to the idea of all the things i dont need or want ....

i am still old school i just like a regular digital watch :) funny thing is i grew up around technology and with an uncle who was a computer nerd to a point and worked as a network admin

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I ended up having to get the Fitbit to track Hart rate more then anything. I does track sleep as well, but the seizure app I use mainly needs Hart rate and O2 % it needs sleep data as well but it doesn't relay just on this. I have to manually log data as well.

I track my sleep. I average around six and a half hours. Wake up time 5min.. it could be a number of reasons for your wake time. Something to look into. Ever tried doing a sleep study. Could be useful.

its normal to wake up lots of times during the night. we are just not always aware of it. I dont have epilepsy but my fitbit shows lots of red lines and tells me I am awake for an hour or more per night.
