I will go to a store shopping find what I’m looking for put it in my left hand then walk around and try to find it again when it’s still in my hand all that time

I go downstairs to start laundry, get distracted by the litter box, go outside to trash can, rake leaves off the sidewalk while I'm out there, talk to the neighbor, check the mailbox, pay a bill, realize I need to mail a birthday card, but then grab some socks to mend instead of a card, sit down on the sofa to mend, end up on the computer, scroll thru Amazon, reminds me we're out of oatmeal, look in the frig for what for dinner, grab some cheese for a snack instead, empty the dishwasher, stop that to answer the phone, .... and don't remember the laundry til I'm in bed. Sigh. I'm so thankful I'm not in charge of small children!!
