Been Taking CBD Oils For About 2yrs, It's Linked To Seizures Less Severe, While The Seizures Still Exist. Anyone Else Had This Result?

The regular scripts I take are Brivaracteram & Lacosamide which I don't have much faith in. Previously I've stopped taking Lamictal, Perampanel and a few others because I've recognised that those medications weren't helping
I'm disappointed that Doctors, Neurologists are still prescribing medications to people while knowing that they do not know if the medication will work for the person who they are prescribing it to, and that it's dangerous to stop taking an anti-seizure medication due to… read more

The thing/issue about medicines is that there is more information + statistics about all the medications out there and the info. is all available to the doctors. Regarding alternative medications such as CBD, olive oil, ..., ketogenic diet, etc etc; People react very differently, from one to the next. And also, regarding these alternative treatments. How a person reacts, depends on various other issues related to each individual

I take MCT oils and don’t have any problems. I totally agree with your statement about doctors thinking “more medicine, more control”. When I recently changed doctors, he took me off one that he said I didn’t need and I didn’t have any problems. Then when he tried to cut back on the dosage of another, I needed to add another medication since he had said the dosage of the medication could be detrimental.

Generally, if you have CBD then it's kind of the same as AED meds there are never any guarantees about how things will go. So in other words it will either help a lot, help a little or have barely any effect. At the end of the day it's really just another med. I do agree with you though, the way the information is provided could be done a lot better. I guess that's what you get when you have a Public health system that is failing.
