Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS)
I work in customer service and am on the phone all day. Since my VNS implant, i sound like im choking and losing my voice evert 5 minutes. Does the voice issue every go away or does it get worse?
Hi @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , I have never had the VNS but @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member had it for a little bit & can share his experience with you. He said it wasn’t helping to much & so he had it removed & now has the RNS & has said that helps him some. Good luck. Your friend in Texas, Becky
That's the problem. It's been over a year. I was fine until I went back to work. I forgot to mention this to my neurologist.

When I first got the VNS, when it turned on it tickled my throat, made me cough and messed up my speech. However, after a week or so I got used to the vibration and I got back to where I could speak normally. So your voice will get back to normal and you won’t feel anything. When they raise the power on the VNS you’ll have issues again for a day or two but you’ll get used to it again.
My Neurologist is testing me for that. Good luck

Has Anyone Tried Any Of The Vagus Nerve Stimulators? If So, Your Thoughts. Thanks.
