I Had A Seizure A Month Ago (1st In 5 Years). I’ve Felt Different After This One.

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

After past seizures, I have pretty much felt normal within a couple hours. Now I often wake up feeling anxious, random feelings of increased heart rate, muscles feel tense, sometimes like I’m gonna vomit. It seems random, like I could just be watching a show. What’s going on?!

The last 3-4 seizures I have had I also have stranger than normal afterwards. It seems like the post-ictal phases last a lot longer and it takes me longer to be coherent.

You maybe experiencing the after effects of your seizures. After my seizures, my hands will start twitching , as if I was having a nicotine fit. Another one I experience after a seizure, is the racing of the heart, as if I just ran a marathon.

I wish I could give you some advice but I really think that you need to contact your neurologist. Sounds like a lot of things have changed that the Dr. needs to be aware of. Feel better 💜.
