Cenobamate
Anyone on this Anticonvulsant. I'm in UK might be called something different over in US. My son has just reached his last increase. 3 seizures last week during exercise, 2 of them anyway.
Christine: Cenobamate is a very effective anticonvulsant (AED). One factor about it, however, is it both raises and decreases the effectiveness of other AEDs someone may be taking, such as Tegretol and Dilantin. Here is a link to an article about Cenobamate you may read at your convenience:

I take XCopri (brand name for it). I take 250mg at bedtime, that's my limit. It's an add on med for me. Any higher dosage causes me extreme dizziness, instability when walking, lose my balance even when standing. My seizures haven't stopped but decreased. I have low sodium levels from seizure meds, so working on getting my salt level under control. My doctor thinking hyponatremia could be a big seizure trigger for me.
His Cenobamate is at 150 mg once daily. His seizures have improved although he did have 3 the week BRIVIACT stopped. He won't be reading this, he is Autistic and not remotely interested. I am his parent carer.
