It might depend on what meds you take as this can effect the Vitamin D Levels. So it could be a case of the Neuro saying we need the level to be a bit higher whereas the pcp is saying it's fine. Or it may even be the other way round. 🤷♂️
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , That might be different for everyone & you might take into consideration the meds you’re on. For example, I’ve been on Depakote for probably about 20 years. I was seeing a different Neurologist in 2015 & he asked if I knew that long term use of Depakote could possibly cause Osteoporosis & I said no & so he had me do a bone density test & that showed I have Osteopenia in my left hip & he recommended I take Vitamin D & my current Neurologist has me taking the Vitamin D also & at an appointment a few months ago I believe my Neurologist said that she wants me taking at least 3,000 grams a day & so when trying to buy a bottle at the store I just got the 5,000 grams or whatever it’s called & so I take 1 of those every day. But it could be different for you. Your friend in Texas, Becky
I Can't Be In The Sun Because I'm Allergic To Sun Rays . What Is Making Me Have Really Good Vitamin D. I Do Cook From Scratch. I'm Confused
