Seizures suck whenever you cannot work and no one wants to help you and don't let no one lie to you none of these seizure epilepsy foundations actually help you it's all b******* they don't help no one I've tried many times to get signed up but they said if I don't have social security they can't help me so what the f*** is the point of them because once you get social security they won't help you

I've been denied 6 times in 15 years saying not enough evidence because they won't take ER visits at all and every thing has been an ER visit. I can't work and have called every so called help and none of them help if you ain't got kids or are a kid they don't care if you can't boost there image they don't care epilepsy foundation is a scam I talk to them and they don't have no kind of funds to help anybody like me and they straight up told me we don't give out funds to help people we give them opportunities so in other words they take all that money and they don't use it to help the actual people who need it they only help people who have kids or are children or are female if you're a guy they don't give a s*** about you especially if you're almost 40 and own problem you have is seizures unfortunately if you have them constantly they really don't care even if you've died 30 times complete flatlining because of them even if you're completely allergic to every single medication that they have tried in 15 years they don't care

Try reapplying call local DHS for guidelines. All thats needed is letter from Dr confirming you have uncontrolled type of epilepsy. First apps rejected to weed out some automaticly but next one shows reality of need. Took 2 apps to get my SS disability. If only applied once just re-apply to confirm.

Try Catholic Charities. I don't know what state you're in but the can help on many levels have offices in many cities as well as hospitals. Can be found online or through many churches. Also next time you go to the er When they try to release you withou talking to a social worker 1 st. Tell them you don't feel safe trying to care for yourself in your current situation. You need to talk to a social worker at the hospital. Especially if you're in CA. Depression and anxiety cause anger and living on the streets with epilepsy causes CPTSD. They've just passed Prop. 1. Anyway ask for a social worker, you need help and can't be released onto the streets in you're current medical/ psychological condition.

I had to apply twice, as well. And eventually had an attorney get me through the system. 7 years.

I may have a small suggestion for you, I was kinda in a similar situation you are in, i was a while ago where I had been released from a scared straight facility and it was a shelter I went to, I stayed there and started working with the shelter, they put me up until I left, it's a thought but did give a roof and food for a while, my opinion.
