@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , That can vary for each person. I would take into account of how you’re feeling & acting with the dosage you’re on now & see if you begin or have an increase in feeling tired, mood swings, anger issues, not acting like yourself or trouble sleeping. Everyone can react differently to medications & you’ll find mixed reviews of Keppra on this site but many didn’t like the side effects & got off it but some didn’t have any problems with the side effects but some couldn’t find anything else to work & so they deal with the side effects. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the side effects of Keppra but like I said above, it has a side effect of mood swings, anger issues, making people not act like themselves, all known as the Keppra Rage & it can possibly cause excessive drowsiness & sometimes known to cause trouble sleeping. In 2019 I took Keppra for 2 months & it made me so tired that I had to take a nap every day & eventually I started having trouble sleeping &.so I got off it. If you already aren’t comfortable with the Keppra then talk to your doctor & let them know what’s going on. If you’re experiencing any of these side effects & aren’t comfortable with them, then let your doctor know. Families on this site have said that their loved ones were on Keppra & not themselves but like I said, everyone can react differently to each medication. Your friend in Texas, Becky

You’re welcome. When your Dr. Knows that you’re doses have reached their max Dose , they will find a new path for you. Whether it be changing meds , adding another medication, or trying you with an alternative treatment ( RNS, VNS, DBS and or brain surgery ) ( your choice , to or not to do it ) ..
