@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , Epilepsy is a serious condition & it can depend on what type of seizures you have, how often & when they happen. Here’s an article that might be able to answer your question better: https://www.epilepsy.com/stories/epilepsy-matte... To read more about a little boy who died from SUDEP & how his family has been helping those with Epilepsy & they help people apply for a grant to see if they might be eligible for an Epilepsy Device, just go to: www.dannydid.org . Hope this helps. Welcome to the site! If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Feel free to check out my page. I’m 45 & have had seizures since the 2nd grade after hitting my head on the monkey bars. Your friend in Texas, Becky

Yes it’s possible to die from Epilepsy.
1. Not taking the medications / uncontrolled Seizures
2 getting overdosed on AED medication/ illegal Drugs and Alcohol
3 . SUDEP ( Sudden Unexplained Death of someone with Epilepsy )

These are from the top of my head. There might be more.
