There was a time before my brain surgery that every morning when I got up out of bed my hands started shaking and then my legs. I found out that these were petite mal seizures every day.
I can offer you a personal suggestion... Your body will never adjust to the medication if you do not take it on a specific schedule. AED medication does not work overnight and takes time to work. Every medication has its own time limit, so it is not possible to make seizures go away overnight. Taking the medication correctly is more important than anything else. The only way to determine if a medication is going to work is to follow a specific prescription that is timed and stay with that schedule. Over the course of my lifetime, I have taken 32 medications. Following a time and prescription is extremely important to me.
How many times a day do you take your med(s) ? Are you on one or more medications ?
There are many different directions the Dr. Can go with your medication.
1. Increase dose of the med or meds you’re on.
2 add another medication ( 1 or more ) to the one you’re on
3. Then there’s how many times a day you are scheduled to take the meds. ( 1,2 or 3 times a day )
4. Then there is when the Dr. may change you to a different brand or generic medication .
5. Weaning you off one of your original medication, while s putting you on a new medication
So what medication(s) are you on ? What’s your Schedule for you medication(s) ?
