when I applied for SSD I had to not work anywhere for 1 year before I could start the process. took about 2-3 years before I was finally accepted. social security administration has a process that takes a bit of time to go through

First apps for disability are are turned down as a rule of thumb. Want you to re-apply prove if serious. Fed SSD app just need Dr
letter attesting to seizures not fully controlled. Was told to just re-apply took bout 4 months. Been on now 24 years since hubby passed. When retirement came bout 14 years got full SS benefits+ medicare. I know some who can't must stay on Medicare so lower income. My state, RI actuallu pays my full Medicare so no deductions from SS check. Surprised to find only 5 states do.
