Catamenial epilepsy

This is due to the rise + fall of hormones at this time- catamenial type known as. Same reason as regular get mood swings if epileptic then seizures. Our estrogen levels are high already so change raises them even more. Ask Dr if small increase in meds just before would help as I once did. Please don't worry bout the seizures hurting her they come + go then we're fine. Dr will be able to explain more and how common as well.

Something my epilepsy specialist had me take during my menstrual cycle was naproxen sodium (Aleve) then when the cycle ended I stopped taking the naproxen sodium. I suggest speaking with your daughter's epilepsy specialist on this type of matter to see how this type of matter can be resolved and let them know you have heard about the Aleve option.

I wish you well and do hope your daughter gets the feeling better soon!
