@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Wow, I didn't know we had such a similar situation. After four straight seizure-free years of highschool, my seizures returned and that was after watching my sister pass away halfway through my junior year and my mother passing away two months before my graduation.

When I had the temporal lobectomy more than 20 years later, I felt those two were protecting me as well as my dad and oldest brother.

ChesleyDeFreitas, After the first one, my girlfriend died. Then my mother died a few months later. My Neurologist and surgeon felt that caused me to have seizures after that. So, I had it a second time and I have been seizure free since. Both of my doctors told me that it's not uncommon for someone to get the surgery twice!

I had Laser Oblation done twice. Once in 2017 and again in 2018! I have been seizure free since my last Laser Oblation surgery on June 15, 2018!
