Does Epilepsy Always Effect Memory And Learning?

It can, but definitely depends on each person.

Medication side effects can have an impact and also what area of the brain the seizures originate will decide what, if any, deficit a person with epilepsy may have.

For me personally, my memory and cognition was spared. This gave me the chance to go to law school and pass the California Bar exam.

I have had very many seizures. Memory was not my best thing. As I got older, is was even more difficult, and often medications make memory much harder.

I believe they can. Everyone is different. After having Epilepsy all my life, as well as having 3 brain surgeries, my memory is better today than it has ever been!
