There is a lot of back and forth. I keep asking the question until I understand what is being said. The doctor I have now gets an A+ for explaining things.

I don't hesitate with which ever Dr. I'm seeing. It's important if you have a question wanting to know about something never to hesitate either. Sometimes if have a question I also look up on google, it is nice being able to do that when curios about some things.

I worked with great Neurologists , Neurosurgeons, and Epileptologists. They were inspiring but human. I trust them. I have challenged a Neurosurgeon that the patient would recover. He said no! I said there is a lot of people praying for her. She did make it. Next day did EEG her brain waves starting stay in theta wvs. I met her 6 weeks later. She thanked me for helping her. Her family were always in touch with me! Pray is powerful!

I pay close attention as to if the just write the prescriptions for medications, or are they interested in my total health. Do they listen to what I’m telling them? I will even stop and ask what did I just say? just to test them. I had a doctor ask me 3xs over several different appointments if I wanted to stop my anti-seizure meds since I had been seizure-free for so long. The first time I told him I will take medications the rest of my life because it works and I will not chance it. Whe he asked me again I told him hell no, and if he ever asked me again I was getting a new doctor. When he asked me the third time I said nothing, got up, walked out, and got a new doctor. THEY WORK FOR US AND ARE SUPPOSED TO DO WHATS BEST FOR US. And then we can still say no. It’s a very important and critical relationship and should be reciprocal. What we have to say is important. It’s important they value what I have to say or this is not someone I can trust. As with other relationships, trust is key!!!
