I’ve had mine about 15 yrs also
This past March I received the newer device and I went to my neuro the other day and he increased this and I’ve had a little ear pain when it activates.

I have had a VNS for over 15years, I've not had any ear pain, but I have got tinnitus, what causes buzzing noise in the ear, can be very annoying.
