This? Just Came To Me, What If You Or Your Doc Moved And Got The Replacement One And Needed A 2nd Opinion, Could You Track The Doc And Get?
I am curious about this, my previous doc left and I wasn't aware of what happened to her, I found out she took leave for school and didn't know, she is still my original one, but got a replacement doc in her place, but what if it comes to I may need a 2nd opinion could you track her down from the medical field etc and get the opinion from her? Good? What do you think about this ❓
I had a couple neurologists as a child, I have had one neurologist retire and I’ve traveled to Minnesota to see a neurologist so I’ve had several different neurologists
Yes! I actually have had to do this. I have my Neurologist at Mayo Clinic. He left and moved out of the system so I actually followed him to where he went as my insurance approved his new hospital.
My Neurosurgeon was also at Mayo Clinic. He left and went somewhere else and I was not able to follow him so I had to get a new doctor. I didn’t like that one’s bedside manner so I asked for a second opinion.
Remember you are always welcome to ask for that you are the patient !!
Dave you are going to have to go to your insurance or better yet . Ask your Primary DR. for a federal for neurologist who is in your area. And Since you've moved you are starting at ground zero. Good luck my friend, ericthom3
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, I know in time myself wanted a second opinion. I didn't have problem going to some1 having help from my PCP referring me to some1.
I am not sure how I would feel about that. If she is back in school no. If you could find her at another practice, then I would make an appointment to see her.
Is It Ok? Being On The Meds We Are Taking, And You Had Some Of Your Old Meds You Were Taken Off By Doc, And You Ran Out Of Your Current One
What If Your Doc Decides To Leave And Gave You Notice, Would You Wait For The Replacement Doc,or Look For Another Somewhere Else? Curious.
What About A Sec Opinion? And What Are Your Thoughts On It, Then What About Your Thoughts About The Opinion They Give? Neutral?
