@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , It looks like the Epilepsy Foundation has a ride share program where you can apply for a 12 month voucher for Uber but for some reason it looks like the application process is temporarily closed but I am sending you a link that you can click on & read about the information and you could at least contact your “Epilepsy Foundation Texas” about this program & see what kind of transportation options they can suggest until the application process opens again. You can find your local “Epilepsy Foundation Texas” contact information on this link and at www.eftx.org. https://www.google.com/gasearch?q=epilepsy%20fo... . Your friend in Austin, Texas, Becky

I usually go with a friend, or my dad transports me. I'm not allowed to go out alone for safety reasons

a suggestion I can give is to check with your local city if they have anything that will help take care of your needs since you are unable to drive. For example, my city provides a van for transportation of persons that cannot drive and will take them into the next city which is a drive down the interstate and downtown of the city is about 15 minutes away on a good traffic day. To reach the hospital within that town is 20 minutes but my point of saying all the above, there is city transportation that will help and is very affordable.

I just had to contact our city council's office to find out if there was anything like this then got all the information how to move forward. Hope the above helps!

Hi KendallZen! I understand the frustration with driving. At one point I had a job in one town and lived in a town about 20 minutes away. My seizure control was stable throughout most of my twenties. I started having trouble when I was 28. I was lucky to have family to help me get to work. I did have a few colleagues who lived fairly close. They were able to help me with rides too. Check with your co-workers. Sometimes people will surprise you with their kindness.
