Sorry about your Neurologist, not answering your calls before you see your new Dr.

The upside of seeing an Epileptologist , is that he/she may be able to find other possible paths to go with your Epilepsy.

I like my Epileptologist. I’ve been through few different Epileptologists since I was 18yrs of age and I’m nearing 50 yrs of age. I was taken on different paths , to help figure out how to control my seizures. They also listen to my concerns , and questions and suggestions . . I never got put down from those questions and suggestions. They would tell me, if it was possible or not . They may have alternative idea and ask if I was ok doing it.

Sorry Your Dr. is not answering Your calls, that is not the correct thing to do. My first question or idea is maybe the new Dr. knows another possible way that will help You more then Your old Dr. does. Is this a common thing or has it just started to happen? Don’t give up on Your Dr. yet, keep calling him until You get a response, if You have his email address try to get in touch with him that way. Don’t stop trying to contact him. You need and deserve an answer from him.

Don't be. He's doing it because he believes what you have described to him is real and the limits of his knowledge has been use. I'm so glad I followed my ,
Dr's suggestion. As a result finally found a med to control the petimals for the 1st time in 60 years. Also found another problem called catatonia &am finally being treated. I'm so happy. I thank God and Dr. Duncan. Do it.

It's dif per person, but I kinda noticed it takes a little longer than before to get a appointment for a doc in my opinion, unless it is urgent, maybe it's me, but that is my opinion here

It's understandable to feel frustrated having to wait months to see a specialist. However, seeing an epileptologist is important to get a deeper understanding of your seizures and better manage your treatment plan. In the meantime, keep taking your medications as prescribed and try logging any breakthrough seizures or side effects to discuss with the specialist. Use this time to prepare questions about your diagnosis, treatment options, and any complementary therapies that could help. Reach out to your primary care doctor as well to ensure all your providers are on the same page regarding any medication or treatment changes.
