If you feel comfortable with the replacement doctor while your regular doctor is away, you may not need to look for another one. The key things to consider are whether the replacement has access to your full medical history and treatment plan, can prescribe any needed medications, and makes you feel supported in managing your epilepsy. It's also a good idea to check if the replacement doctor is in your insurance network. If not, you may want to find another doctor who is in-network to avoid higher out-of-pocket costs.

If you are comfortable with her and trust her judgement oh and feel at ease talking with her questioning her if things don't agree with you than I would stay until your doctor returns. Finding another Neurologist can be a real pain I've meet quite a few who well I couldn't type what I call them. It sounds like your ok with her abd that also keeps all your records in 1 place!

Dave it's always good to have backups if you know they're good from talking to other people who see them. I only know one other person with epilepsy here and she loves the doctor I fired because I didn't have a seizure during my veeg so he told me I didn't have epilepsy I had pseudo seizures and go see a shrink. I went to another Neurologist who put me back in the hospital and I had a bad tonic clonic while there He also told me the same thing every other Neurologist has ever told me that I have lots of seizure activity on my veeg 24 hours a day. That doctor I fired knew that and that builds up to TCS. That's what made me so mad with him because I know what my brain waves look like on an eeg.

If you are comfortable with her - I would stay. Don’t go looking for trouble that may not happen.
