It's A Little Longer Than Before To Get A Medical Appointment With A Few Years Ago I Think, What Do You Think? 3 To 4 Wks To Schedule One?
I think it's got something to do with the covid and maybe a staff and doc shortage also, I may be mistaken, but I could not scheduled a appt 30 days ahead, I found out yesterday on trying to plan one for my March appointment with my current doctor, she said call after that for the coming month, so I will what are your thoughts?
I have no problem either, it's gotten to be once a year now for me. If I'm having problems or questions I call my Dr.s office. Depending on what is I explain to who works for him, takes note also so he'll know why I'm calling. What ever it might be it gets taken care of whether it be to reset my appointment or something to do my med.
I would say it is because of the lack of doctors. You cannot always have an appointment when you want. Times are changing and there are less doctors.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, Your right about that, for me makes things a lot easier on me since my memory isn't perfect.
It is getting harder to see doctors. Especially if you are switching to a new one. There aren’t as many Neurologists everywhere or the Seizure Specialists are busy.
Even to get into a primary doctor can be difficult.
Babs have you tried to schedule between your appointments if there is a problem? Many times there are waiting lists at doctors and if someone cancels you can be called to get the chance to have their appointment.
