Feeling like you need to urinate but not being able to can be caused by nerve issues related to spinal cord injuries or other nerve damage. Since many people with epilepsy experience urinary symptoms, it's a good idea to discuss this with your doctor to explore potential causes and treatments. Some options to manage this include prescription medications, physical therapy, catheters, or protective garments. Staying hydrated and maintaining a bladder diary can also help identify patterns. Support from others with similar experiences may help in coping with frustration or embarrassment.
