I haven’t experienced of food triggering my seizures. But, I have heard of some people who won’t eat certain things , because they trigger their seizures.

For me, the smell of Brussels sprouts without warning caused me issues. It was not the seizure. It was the internal argument of whether this was a warning of a seizure or if someone was cooking it without warning me again. I can now eat them if I must I don't desire them they remind me of that issue but it is not an issue. Besides they don't taste very good anyway.

Actual answer is no way any food triggers seizures. To imagine brain waves affected by what we eat, do or think is weird. Rely on meds clear mind of worry bout this as well.

A lack of protein can trigger seizures as well as too much sugar so I'd listen to your dad. Play it safe.
