It is also what that part of the brain controls. There are many differences between the front and temporal lobes. Many times, when we have seizures for years, the body learns to utilize other parts of the brain. The easy way to express this is when I had brain surgery, all the memories had to be resorted again. There is a TV show called MASH that has a sick note-taker. All his notes for the past week were left in the office, and all the doctors had to find order in it when he was ill. This is the same way I had post-surgery. All the files were jostled around, and the brain had to reorganize it and put the memories where they should have been put to start with. I am now more then 10 years seizure free and here getting my Masters degree.

The main differences between frontal lobe seizures and temporal lobe seizures are the location they originate from in the brain and the resulting symptoms. Frontal lobe seizures originate in the frontal lobes, which are located behind the forehead, while temporal lobe seizures originate in the temporal lobes, which are located on the sides of the head by the ears. Frontal lobe seizures often cause short seizures lasting less than 30 seconds, with symptoms like head/eye movements, yelling, laughing, body posturing, and repetitive motions. Temporal lobe seizures often cause a "rising" sensation in the stomach, deja vu, smells/tastes, intense emotions like fear or joy, staring spells, fidgeting, and impaired speech.
