Is It Possible For The Lead In My Vns To Corrode

I can still feel the VNS leads in my neck from 25 years ago. I had the VNS removed but they left the leads in my neck.

I don't think so. I think there made so they last a very long time. They may replace it at some point but my understand is the attachment stays as it is and the replacement goes in attachment. They may just do it when they replace the VNS which gets done every 5-10 years.
