I Had A Small One This Morning And Was Sitting Down Outside, Aware Of It, And Lasted About 20 Sec, But I Have A? About This Below,

I felt it without warning and went through it, I know that I had gotten my 4 hrs sleep last night and maybe was a little bit of sleep deprived and maybe not, since yesterday I think I had gotten 6 hrs sleep in and then a few 2 or 3 naps in, I think accounted for the sleep I may have missed out on, but I asked myself a? Was it sleep deprivation or a seizure going to happen at random and did, or what? It's happened before like this, but not often but does, but I am not going to stress about it. I… read more

Well, Technically the best sleep is 7-8 hrs of constant sleep. So napping may make up for the hrs but it dos'nt help with the quality of sleep you get.

Dave Great that seizure passed so you're fine now too. I've had many small ones when aware just have to wait it out then forget it. To figure out what triggers any can drive us all crazy, better to rely on meds to control seizures if or when any occur.

Never deprive yourself of sleep. Ur just asking for a seizure. I too don’t always get 3-4 hours of sleep for days and I always end up with a seizure.

It's possible the seizure could have been triggered by sleep deprivation, but seizures can also occur randomly without an obvious cause. Many people with epilepsy find their seizures happen more often or are worse when they don't get enough sleep. Getting regular sleep is an important way to help reduce seizures. If you notice your seizures tend to happen at certain times of day or on certain days, tracking your seizures can help identify patterns. Share any patterns you notice with your doctor - it can help determine potential triggers to avoid.

It’s called an aware seizure and can happen anywhere anytime. I’ve had lots of them. They can be caused by any of ur stressors or just because as my neurologist says. I’ve been standing and can hear what’s going around me but I’m fully aware of my surroundings. If someone is around they will slowly approach me and usually just trying to walk me to somewhere to lay down will snap me out of it but I always feel tired after. That’s probably why u thought it was from lack of sleep. There’s no set reasons why u get them other than they can be a forewarning sign that ur gonna have a bigger one usually within a week. At least that’s what I’ve been told by my drs. So my advice is to take it easy, and keep a good watch for ur auras and really pay attention to them. If ur out, don’t drive but try to make it to somewhere where ur not gonna hurt urself. Hope ur feeling better. Take care and be safe my friend
