Iā€™m living proof of getting SSI or SSDI . Although it seem to be harder for many of us with Epilepsy. It take may take more then one time to apply for SSI or SSDI . You may have to get a hold of a disability firm for advice or help.

Yes, you can SSI and other form of SS income, depending how much you'd be collecting from the other SS. They will allow collecting SSI and other forms of other income until you reach a certain amount of the two incomes combined. If it is 2 social security incomes they will allow SSI and other SS income until the other SS income reaches a certain amount. Then they cancel SSI and receive just the one. It's nothing to worry about you'll be making more than you originally were. There will be no loss of income.

Yes, it is possible to receive both Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) concurrently. To qualify for SSDI, you must have a work history and a medical condition that meets Social Security's definition of disability. For SSI, you can qualify based on low income and limited resources, even with limited or no work history. So if your depression meets the criteria for disability, you could potentially receive SSDI. Additionally, if you have limited income and assets, you may also qualify for SSI based on your hand condition and other physical impairments.
