I can relate to your feeling of isolation. I usually have to call community taxi here to get to Walmart or into the city nearest metro stop and it's soo expensive. I call medical mobile to get to and from appointments. Living somewhere with no public transportation really sucks! Now winter's coming and we get some wicked ones up here. I try to stay busy in and around the house in winter and try to stay involved in community in summer. It's about a 5min bike ride to our town to post office and local stores. I try to think of it as seasonal participation lol. I hope you find what you're looking for Kris.

Look for places that you can volunteer is the easiest way and you can google volunteer work to find places

Kris5 , I use to live in a Suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul and I would use the Metro City Busses . When I lived in areas that weren’t near the City bus stops , I would use Metro Mobility . My last resort choice was the Suburban Taxi ( it was cheapest taxi . But not sure what it is today ) . Now there is Uber . There wasn’t any Uber when I was using city transportations. That was how I got around, if I couldn’t get a ride by. my family or friend.
