Can I Still Be Having Seizures If I Haven't Had One In 11 Years
I went 8yrs with no seizures. Still epileptic. Jst means your meds are working. Keep up blood tests to monitor meds. No need to be a huge surprise if they do come back. I grew out of my meds after those 8 yrs.
What I can tell you from experience is I went three and four years seizure-free before they returned.
Fantastic no seizures in 11 years proof meds are working for you! Clear mind of paranoia bout any future ones. Epilepsy is just a condition not a disease rely on meds to stave off any seizures. Glad we live in 1st century thru time to even explain things with great meds to help as yours have too.
Yes, it is possible. I'm 65 and I've had some form of epilepsy since 3 years old. It started as staring spells, petit mal seizures. At 18, in the summer between high school and college, I had my first gran mal seizure. I have been gran mal seizure free for the past 22 years, but have had occasional staring spells.
So yes, it is possible to have epilepsy and go a long time between seizures, even between different types of seizures.
Thank you
