"Status Epilepticus" is the clinical term for the situation/symptoms you described. These prolonged seizures require immediate medical attention. I'm surprised that this condition wasn't fully explained to you some time before you left the hospital. Google it Ben, you'll learn a lot.

This was when Siezures were at their highest point in 2010 or so. Always have been nocturnal. At the hospital the first thing I remember is the doctor asking me what day it was, I said Monday! (It was Thursday).

It's possible you experienced prolonged seizures or postictal fatigue that caused you to remain unconscious for 4 days after a seizure. Seizures typically last from seconds to a few minutes. However, in some cases seizures can last longer or occur in clusters, which can result in prolonged unconsciousness. The postictal period after a seizure involves fatigue and recovery that can last hours to days depending on the seizure type, length, etc. This extended recovery time may explain the 4 days of unconsciousness. It's best to follow up with your doctor to understand what happened and discuss any needed treatment changes.
