After Only Working Four Hours Today, That’s What I’m Pretty Much Getting With Each Shift That I Work At This New Position. I Feel Absolutely

exhausted and I’m not really sure why unless it’s a combination of what I’ve been feeling for quite some time and it just kicks in after I’ve been working for four hours. Who else goes through this? Not trying to be nosy I’m just wondering if anybody else is experiencing the same thing

I feel great when I’m working but afterwards I feel very tired 🥱. Once my brain starts to relax or slow down it hits.

You're not alone in feeling exhausted after only working for a few hours. Many people with epilepsy experience significant fatigue related to their condition and treatments. Contributing factors can include seizures, especially nocturnal ones, medication side effects, depression, and sleep issues. It's understandable to feel frustrated. I would suggest speaking to your doctor about potential ways to manage the fatigue, like adjusting medications if possible, treating co-occurring depression, improving sleep habits, pacing activities, or using mobility aids when needed.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I have a lot of days that I feel exhausted as well and I think part of it is what I’m taking now cause I take over how close to 5000 mg a day is what I’m on and that’s including the blood pressure. I’ve gotta take as well without that it’s like 4940 mg with the seizure meds alone.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, Remembering how that feels since had cats for years, not at 1 time! 😅 Now have a dog who is company too, so if ever think about it they're good company walking with you. You'd get your exercises then. I do for sure! 🐕

I used to work a 5-6 hour shift and was exhausted when I came home. Now that I have retired from that job I find myself at a loss to do anything. I just want to sit around. Honestly, my cats get more exercise than I do.
